Half the matches are done and yet again there is sudden decline in the form of Royal Challengers Bangalore. Losing 5 matches from last seven games and currently placed at the bottom of the table, RCB has lots of work to do. A before yesterday, RCB were bundled out for the lowest ever score at IPL against KKR. The total score read 49 runs and they were all out with in 10 overs. It was the first instance when no player crossed the single digit run in IPL. The only positive for them is that they have done it before in 2016, winning all their last 7-8 matches to be on second at the table. Meanwhile Hyderabad returns to the place where they had performed great and won the title. Hyderabad are currently placed at third spot with four wins to their name. They were on the losing side in the last match due to severe onslaught by Dhoni in last four overs scoring a mighty 56 runs to snatch the game. It was a last ball thriller and will not hamper much of the confidence of Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Last time they played: last time the two teams where against each other at the inaugural match of IPL season 10. And RCB were on the losing side. Batting first Hyderabad posted a total of 207 runs at the end of 20 overs, Royal Challengers Bangalore were bundled out before 20 overs and fell 35 runs short.
Head to head battle: The two south Indian teams have been 10 times against each other including the final of Indian premier league 9. There is slight upper hand of Sunrisers in head to head battle winning 6 out of 10 matches while RCB have won the remaining four matches. In this season both teams have played a match against each other and Sunrisers Hyderabad have won it.
Royal challengers Bangalore: LWLLL
Sunrisers Hyderabad: LWWLL
Royal challengers Bangalore: seven matches are over but Bangalore are yet to find their best playing eleven. In the last match when they posted the lowest ever score, it was their best possible eleven. Bowling was great for RCB with all bowlers contributing through bowling. There could be only two things with the defeat either they will completely change their playing XI or they will maintain the same side with a one or two odd changes. The possibility of the later is more.
Probable XI: Chris Gayle, Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, Kedar Jadhav, Mandeep Singh/Harpreet Singh, Stuart Binny, Tymal mills, Pawan Negi, S Aravind, Y Chahal, Samuel Badree/Tabraiz Shamsi.
Sunrisers Hyderabad: The injuries worry are finally over for the Sunrisers Hyderabad, Ashish Nehra and Yuvraj Singh both are match fit again. With Yuvraj Singh back in the side, there is slight possibility of dropping Kane Williamson and including Mohd Nabi or Ben Cutting to the side. Ashish Nehra inclusion will mean one from the three Kayla, Siraj and Bipul Sharma will play.
Probable XI: David Warner, Shikhar Dhawan, Yuvraj Singh, Deepak Hooda, Moises Henriques, Naman Ojha, Kane Williamson/Ben Cutting/Mohd Nabi, Mohd Siraj/Bipul Sharma, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Rashid Khan, Ashish Nehra/Sidharth Kaul.
Players in the Spotlight:
Virat Kohli: getting a first bowl duck in the previous encounter, Kohli led RCB faced a humiliating loss and they would love to erase the memory. Kohli will have to lead by example and should preform better to make his team perform.
Where: M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore.
What to expect: a warm evening with 15% chances of shower. This season the pitch of Chinnaswamy have acted a little different and does resulted in huge total. Highest of the season being that of Rising Pune Supergiant 161 runs.
Toss Prediction: chasing is always a good option at smaller grounds and team winning the toss will choose bowling first.
Match prediction: RCB though will be gutted by their previous performance but is supposed to jump back in the track with winning this game.
* High six over scores are bound to happen.
* Match odds for the game are 82-83 RCB.
