Gujarat Lions are looking a completely deprived side this year and struggling to find a perfect team combination the gets them the win.

Last time they played: Last time when the two team were against each other in the league matches of 2017 IPL, Kolkata Knight Riders made the joke out of the run chase against Gujarat Lions. This time there is much of a uncertainty for the availability Chris Lynn in the team.

Team Preview:

Kolkata Knight Riders: The opening combination of Colin de grandhomme and Gautam Gambhir didn’t work and they will now shift to their natural opening pair of Uthappa and Gambhir for sure. Manish Pandey and Yusuf Pathan were brilliant with bat. While the inclusion of Coulter Nile have made the bowling more powerful. Grandhomme is likely to be replaced by Shakib Al Hasan or Rowman Powell.

Probable XI: Gautam Gambhir, Robin Uthappa, Manish Pandey, Surya Kumar Yadav, Yusuf Pathan, Chris Woakes, Colin de Grandhomme/ Shakib-al-hasan, Sunil Narine, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Piyush Chawla/Kuldeep Yadav, Umesh Yadav.

Gujarat Lions: The form of Aaron Finch and Dwayne Smith is a huge worry for the team. The bowling looks still weak and Bravo inclusion in the team is still in doubt. Dwayne Smith will be likely replaced with Jason Roy or Dwayne Bravo (depends on match fitness). Andrew Tye after his first match heroics haven’t done much but will be still in the team. All bowlers went for plenty especially Shivil Kaushik day was worse with the bowl in the last match. Ishan Kishan was brilliant down the order and is likely to be retained.

Probable XI: Brendon McCullum, Suresh Raina, Aaron Finch, Dinesh Karthik, Ishan Kishan, Ravindra Jadeja, Dwayne Smith/James Faulkner, Andrew Tye, Dhawal Kulkarni, Basil Thampi, Shivil Kaushik/ Shadab Jakati.

Players to watch out for:

Brendon McCullum: the only kiwi who knows to fly. He will be keen to go after the bowler right from the word go. Gujarat Lions deeply depends on him to fire a winning knock.

Manish Pandey: he is brilliant with the bat this season and is playing important role in every match for his franchise. He will be in the Spotlight to perform again for his team.
