The celebration of West Indies winning the last ODI might have not fully sublimed and they are going to face the Pakistan in the second ODI on Sunday. Last game was no where until Jason Mohammad heroics won the game for the home team. The fast bowling of Pakistan looked clueless when they chased down 309 with an over to spare. As a result of the first game now they are eyeing winning a series against a top playing nation in the recent past.
The Pakistan side were deeply hurt by the brutal hurting of Jason Mohammad and Ashley Nurse. And their side will require a morale booster from their Captain Sarfraz Khan to place a competitive display of strengths. The major hitting was mainly to the pace attack of Pakistan and in the radar also came the sluggish innings of Mohammad Hafeez who ate up too many bowls in his all innings. Pakistan would make a comeback in the second innings but for that they need a quick morale support.
West Indies WLLLL
In the Spotlight:
Chadwick Walton: his hard hitting abilities is a well known thing and he would be eager to place his feet right at the second match. Kraig Briathwaith was axed from the team to make an entry for Walton. And he would want to prove the faith of the selectors right.
Wahab Riaz: Pakistan would be desperate to get a winning spell from their speedster if they want be alive in the series. Wahab pace and accuracy were never in doubt and he would like to perform one more time for the team.
West Indies: They would likely to stick with the combination of the winning eleven after their last ODI successful chase.
West Indies XI (possible): 1 Evin Lewis, 2 Chadwick Walton (wk), 3 Kieran Powell, 4 Shai Hope, 5 Jason Mohammad, 6 Jonathan Carter, 7 Jason Holder (capt), 8 Ashley Nurse, 9 Devendra Bishoo, 10 Alzarri Joseph, 11 Shannon Gabriel
Pakistan: The highest run getter from the Pakistan side Hafeez didn’t impress many but his ability to chip in with wickets can held him up in the squad. Mohammad Amir and Wahab Riaz were poor at the depths and Juanid Khan can get a place in the squad.
